**About You**:
We are looking for an individual who has good communication and can be hands on with problem solving.
- AAT Level 2 is desirable
- Passionate about pursuing a career in Finance
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and great organisational skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel

- Lives and breathes our values and inspires others to do the same
- Prepared to do limited travelling when required

**About the Role**
The Accounts Assistant role is to work closely with the Finance team to produce timely and accurate financial reporting, assisting with the day-to-day activities of the department and to support management and the wider business to meet agreed company objectives. Full training will be given throughout the job.
- Carry out month end processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month end journals, analysis of accruals/prepayments and standardised financial reporting
- Work closely with branch and other support centre staff to investigate, understand and resolve variances vs budget and month end queries
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support branch teams during monthly stock counts, understand and resolve stock variances
- Completion of Government Returns
- Cash forecast reporting
- Running of weekly internal reports
- Reviewing and coding of invoices
- Participate in annual audit
- Participate in annual budget and forecasting of expenses
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable department during busy periods

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30 - 4.30, Monday to Friday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
