**PURPOSE OF JOB**:
To provide proactive enforcement support to the Mobile Surveillance Team as required in support of activity agreed through Covert Tasking and or OCGM. Provide wider proactive support; arrests, warrants, premises search, stop search and vehicle intervention across the force in support of the “Matters of Priority”. Assist in the development of intelligence in support of the wider Proactive Crime & Intelligence Command.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To work as part of a highly motivated proactive team that works collaboratively to solve problems given to it through Covert Tasking, OCGM and LPA Tasking
- To provide direct and proactive operational support to the mobile surveillance team as required.
- To assist the wider Intelligence department in the development of intelligence and proactive enforcement.
- To proactively deal with offences that are discovered in the course of duty to ensure that they are at a suitable standard to be handed to investigation teams.
- To be available to work in uniform and plain clothes, and on foot or mobile patrol and be flexible in all types of work and duties.
- To develop a strong knowledge of nominals throughout the county and proactively seek to disrupt offending, obtaining evidence of offending, and arrest offenders.

NOTE:

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Must be willing and able to undertake long and unsocial working hours on occasion, with changes being made at short notice.
- Must be Standard Response driver trained or pass as suitability assessment.
- Must be willing to undertake surveillance log training and activity in support of surveillance.
- Be able and willing to undertake MOE training (if not already).
- Demonstrate the ability to develop intelligence and undertake operational activity in support of the force “Matters of Priority”.
- Must be able to demonstrate a problem-solving approach, able to suggest solutions to issues and capable of implementing them individually and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision, self-motivated and have a ‘can do’ attitude, upholding the highest personal values.
- An ability to think clearly under pressure, considering all relevant factors and make decisions accordingly. Remain calm and confident during difficult situations.
- To be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- To pass Management Vetting (Police vetting for Designated Posts) and Security Clearance (National Security Vetting) vetting criteria.
- Must be Taser trained or willing to undertake this training.
