**Job description**

AMEE is recruiting a **Marketing Officer **to develop and deliver communications and marketing plans which drive conference registration, membership and course registration.

You will be part of the AMEE Engagement and Communications team and will focus on strategically raising the profile of AMEE and will work very closely with the SMT to support the achievement of membership, conference and course targets.

**About you**:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will lead customer journey marketing, driving conversion from lead to registrant or member, and ROI. You will make active use of reporting, analysis and insights to optimise marketing and communication campaigns across our Annual Conference, Courses and Membership activities.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have more than three years experience in a marketing environment.

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous to have worked in a membership or educational organisation.

This post requires the ability to think creatively and to be able to identify promotional opportunities. It is a role that requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex and time-driven workload.

**Principal Deliverables**:

- Segment audiences and develop customer journeys, identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance engagement and conversion.
- Build networks and relationships with Individual Members and Member Institutions to support the communications of key messaging.
- With support from Head of Engagement and Communications - manage the conference and membership marketing calendar.
- Write and source media and assets for customer journey communications - this will also include liaising with members and committees to source, collect and repurpose content.
- Use analytics to inform strategy, measure campaign effectiveness and produce regular reports.
- Check all customer journey materials to ensure facts and figures are correct.
- Support and contribute to the wider team where required.
- Support and attend the Annual Conference.

**It is essential that you have the following**:

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing environment.
- Demonstrable success in customer journey, event, content and course marketing - to an international audience.
- Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
- Experience of content creation and implementation, tied to audience need throughout the customer journey.
- Experience of writing, editing and proof-reading copy and communications.
- A strong understanding of branding principles.
- A solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape and channel integration.
- Experience in GDPR and data compliance.
- Strong digital media skills including experience using website content management systems (CMS), databases social media.
- Ability to undertake research and the collection, management and interpretation of data and insights to drive engagement and conversion.

**Desirable**
- Prior experience of marketing within a Health Professions or Higher Education Association.
- Knowledge of Events, Course and Membership marketing.
- Experience of Marketing Academic Conferences

**Role Type**:

- Hybrid working - 3 days in office (Dundee) and 2 days remote

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
