Executive Assistant

This organisation is seeking a highly organised, professional Executive Assistant with excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment

**Position**: Executive Assistant

**Location**: Preferably Oxford office based (hybrid/remote working considered)

**Hours**: Full-time, 35 hours per week, flexible working

**Salary**: Starting salary £34,000 - £39,000 pro rata

**Contract**: Permanent

**Benefits**: 3.5% - 5% pension, enhanced parental leave pay, cycle scheme, flexible working arrangements and 33 days of annual leave (FTE)

**About the Role**

Working with the CEO and Leadership team, you will be central to ensuring the success of this expanding organisation. Through a feminist and anti-colonial approach to management the role will provide strategic thinking space and platforms to develop your work areas confidently and in line with the organisational strategy and values.

You will be joining the team at an exciting and stimulating time, as they review the strategy for the next 5 years. As Executive Assistant, you will assume day-to-day responsibility for special projects and tasks, with multiple timelines, priorities and stakeholders throughout the year. This role will also include being Company Secretary, working closely with the leadership team and board of trustees to maintain an organisational rhythm of reporting and board meetings, as well as ensuring compliance. You will also create and maintain cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success, reporting to the CEO.

Climate change affects everyone and to create a social mandate for climate action, the charity need representatives from across society to be part of the conversation and therefore, maintain a non-partisan approach on policy and politics.

Your key areas of responsibilities will be:

- Systems
- Governance

The charity works with partners and contractors located in different time-zones. Therefore the post-holder may be asked to travel or work outside of core hours to support project delivery

**About You**

We are seeking a highly organised, professional individual with excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience working with senior level professionals in a fast-paced, changing environment.

You'll be the right person for this job if:

- You have work experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant, or working with senior level professionals
- You are passionate about solving problems, no matter if they're big or small; and have a strong mindset of getting things done
- You actively identify opportunities, deliver improvements, proactively design strategies that enable leadership success and follow project management methodologies and processes
- You are great at building trust with external and internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have proven attention to detail whether in proofing documents, keeping track of dates and requirements, or accurately entering data
- You are committed to personal professional development
- You have experience or willingness to learn about feminist leadership and allyship in delivery and management
- You are able and willing to work with people from different political positions whilst maintaining Climate Outreach’s non-partisan approach on policy and politics

**About the Organisation**

The organisation is passionate about widening and deepening public engagement with climate change and through research, practical guides and consultancy services, helps organisations engage diverse audiences beyond the usual suspects. They focus on building and sustaining cross-societal support for climate action, overcoming political polarisation, and turning concern into action and have nearly two decades of experience working with a range of international partners including government, international bodies, media and charities.

The organisation was founded in 2004 as the first British organisation to focus exclusively on public engagement with climate change, and is proud of the impact it has had.
