The Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) is a small dynamic and independent organisation within the UK Statistics Authority. We have a separate governance structure to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), and so reporting requirements are different in places, but we have a Memorandum of Understanding with ONS Corporate Services and adopt many of the same policies and processes.

**Job description**:
This role forms part of our Regulation Support function for the Office for Statistics Regulation. We are a small team providing support for our Senior Leadership Team and regulators located in sites across the UK. The role is available in Newport or Edinburgh.

This role will very much focus on supporting our people capability, working directly with our senior leadership team and with our Wellbeing and Development Committee, a great group of volunteers chaired by our Deputy Director. If you join us you will have lots of scope to mould your role and shape our learning and wellbeing offering for the team, as well as liaising with Recruitment, the Learning Hub, and other corporate services in the Authority.

OSR has worked closely with the Operational Delivery Profession (ODP). Due to our independence and our function, some activities are unique to OSR. While we are independent of ONS, successful individuals in this role will have the opportunity to become active members of the Business Support Communities of Practice. We are also very keen to develop our ODP profession within OSR and we hope you will contribute to, and benefit from, that ambition. This post aligns to the ODP skills family of Executive Officer (EO) - Operational Design and Support; Help and Advice.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate OSR recruitment, working with hiring managers and Recruitment Partners (we are a team of approximately 50 people).
- Wellbeing and Development Committee Secretariat and support for OSR learning offer, including researching and developing the learning and wellbeing offer from OSR and our use of the Learning Hub.
- Development and coordination of our Templates and Guidance resource which is a one-stop shop for all our organisational desk guides.
- Coordinating workforce planning, starters and leavers and OSR induction offer
- Reward and Recognition budget holder
- OSR Pulse Survey Manager (and support for People Survey)
- OSR workload monitoring
- Newport Site local business support (not linked to location of post)
- Management of Regulation Support Mailbox (people and learning related)
- Working with colleagues within the Regulation Support team to innovate ways of working that will support enhancement of OSR’s capability.
