- Based in the historic city of Winchester, this vacancy is within the Human Resources Policy and Reward Team. The Policy and Reward Team play an important role in helping our managers to manage their staff. We do this through our written and published guidance. Our policies and guidance enable managers to perform their role effectively. We are also key in implementing pay awards and pay-related changes, interpreting and resolving complex policy or terms and conditions issues and we are responsible for job evaluation.- The HR Adviser is a key role within our team, supporting the wide range of projects that we deliver. With a structured induction and involvement in a range of projects, this will give exposure to new HR experiences and opportunities.- The individual will need to demonstrate curiosity to be able to resolve issues and drive to see things through to conclusion. Your attention to detail will be key to help deliver quality outcomes across our projects. You will be able to prioritise your own workload to ensure success of your own and the team projects. Learning is important in everything that we do and therefore you will be self-aware and happy to share your own learnings in a trusted and supportive environment to help the team continuously improve. Relevant experience, expertise and a pragmatic approach to solving problems, identifying risk and recommending options is required.- The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a good understanding and level of experience of using Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data as well as report production. Technical experience of HR systems such as SAP and web-based document management platforms such as SharePoint would be an advantage. Experience of policy writing, and development is desirable with the applicant having a good grounding in employment law and best practice. The successful applicant will be an effective communicator, able to quickly build rapport across diverse stakeholder groups.- There is plenty of support available from the wider HR and Occupational Health teams, plus opportunities for development and training.
