**Events and Membership Officer**

This role will support the delivery of Scottish Renewables’ commercial events programme, member events and membership activities. Our commercial events include high quality conferences throughout the year attracting key industry figures and designed to support our membership in their business growth through great programmes and networking as well as glittering awards ceremonies to celebrate the success of our sector. This team works at a fast pace and delivers to the absolute highest standard achieving strong commercial returns along with inspiring and very highly regarded events.

**Key responsibilities**
- Assist with regular communication between SR and delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, members and other key stakeholders
- Assist the Events Team with maintaining strong relationships through clear and timely communication with suppliers (e.g. venues, caterers, AV, print, design)
- Lead on the delivery of member events including parliamentary receptions and seminars, working closely with the wider team
- Create and maintain event websites, and maintain membership pages of website
- Provide assistance with marketing activities where needed
- Coordinate and promote SR presence at external events including activating agreements for supporting organisations
- Coordinate new member induction process
- Support delivery of membership projects, campaigns and benefits package
- Support set-up, registration management and general smooth running of events on-site
- Preparation and issue of sponsorship contracts using template

**About you**
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise a heavy workload, manage a busy schedule and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication with strong attention to detail
- Experience working within the events industry would be beneficial
- A strong team worker with ability to work closely with colleagues to progress ideas
- The ability to be unflappable under pressure and responsive to unforeseen circumstances
- A positive, can-do approach
- A professional and friendly demeanour as will be the face of the organisation at events
- Ability to do some work outside normal 9-5 hours to attend events
