**Role Responsibilities**
The Transition Administration Support role sits within the Defined Benefits team and is focused on reacting to the required member servicing activities on a day-to-day basis for all schemes in transition working with the Transition Managers and the PensionServices Specialists in the member and Operational Services Team.
This role facilitates client and customer requests during transition, through ensuring premiums are received as required, handling a variety of member and trustee queries, supporting the management of complaints, producing deferred member options and solvingmatters relating to the administration of our DB policies in transition.
This role also supports the completion of key activities around mortality and sanction screening, working with the Implementations Services team as well as interacting with other areas of the wider DB Team by providing key information and assisting withadministrative matters.
**Examples of Key Activities**
- Work with our clients, their TPAs and wider DB team to ensure all member option calculations are accurate and paid on time whilst a transaction is in transition.
- Act as a point of contact for our client's TPAs and Pension Scheme Administrators during transition, supporting the Transition Relationship Managers and Transition Consultants.
- Support our Client's TPAs and the wider DB Team with administration and payment queries, complaints and service concerns during transition.
- Provide support for Business Development Managers on any administrative queries or concerns during transition.
- Support the Transition team with various tasks associated with client administration tasks, monthly funding during data cleanse, reporting, MI, payments and data validation.
- Engage in process and other improvement initiatives.
**Skills and Experience**
- Ability to manage own workloads and prioritise a number of different tasks based on business volumes and priorities.
- A good team worker, able to establish and communicate priorities with a number of people to ensure adequate support is given to the team and transition client's administration teams.
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to liaise at all levels internally and externally.
- The ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Pro-activity, being able to self-organise and manage a busy and varied workload.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Clear focus on quality, service and results.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good Microsoft office skills particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Some understanding of DB Pensions and how they differ from individual annuities.
- Knowledge of DB de-risking market, including an understanding of the DB Pension Scheme wind up process desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in a Financial Services Organisation
- ideally with a good knowledge in defined benefit de-risking, or defined benefit pension administration.
- Experience of providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Experience of working with non-standard processes and systems.
