**FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER - HYBRID WORKING - 18 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT**

The role of **Finance Business Partner **sits in our **exceptional Finance** department where you will be responsible for providing high quality business performance reporting, insight and constructive challenge to facilitate robust commercial and operational decision making and provide ‘early warning’ of any areas of potential underperformance.

You’ll deliver increased rigour and automation in the planning and performance reporting processes across business functions, driving accountability with business teams and you’ll provide high quality insight and analysis covering external market environment and internal performance.

**_Day to day as a Finance Business Partner:_**
- ** Business partnering**
- Partner specific areas of the business on regular requirements (reporting, forecasting) and initiatives and projects
- Be flexible in prioritisation to support business needs
- ** Planning (Budget, Forecasts and Long-Range Plan)**
- Own the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for areas of the business supported (and/or specific processes)
- Support development in the FP&A processes and systems
- ** Month-end**
- Some month-end accountabilities to ensure timely and accurate reporting and really “knowing the numbers” to present to budget holders
- ** Business performance reporting**
- Support development, implementation and continual review of business KPIs
- Own the performance management cycle and reporting for areas of the business supported (and/or specific reporting)
- Lead performance reviews with areas of business supported
- Work closely with the Data warehouse and Customer Insights team to develop automated reports
- ** Insight & Analysis**
- Perform insightful concise analysis for projects and initiatives to support better decision making
- Drive for standardised analysis and appraisals, with use of ‘self-serve’ tools wherever possible
- ** Team development**
- Development of FP&A team
- Lead specific transformation activities that enhance Finance and wider business capabilities

**_ What we need you to have:_**

You’ll be a qualified accountant with very strong analysis skills.

With excellent communication skills you’ll be able to influence people and teams

Proven finance business partnering experience and the ability to work collaboratively with budget holders and the wider business will be key to success in this role.

You’ll be a proactive team player, with excellent attention to detail and the drive to ensure our systems and processes are robust.

**Desirable**:

- Commercial experience gained in industry - Retail experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of FP&A systems and processes
