Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Finance Team Supervisor to support and assist in all aspects of work undertaken within the Finance & Payroll Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing high volume accounts payable processing, undertaking balance sheet account reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all activities associated with high volume accounts payable processing
  • Undertake balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Use management accounts to produce reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Run cost reports and reconcile spend against budgets, including the investigation and resolution of discrepancies
  • Supervise other accounts team members
  • Responsibility for preparation of compliance returns (e.g. packaging, waste, energy usage and business rates)
Requirements:
  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting role, and able to demonstrate knowledge of a variety of accounting tasks
  • Keen to take on additional responsibility and contribute to the operational efficiency of the wider business
  • Ideally, intermediate level in Excel
  • Experience using SAP preferable
  • Previous experience supervising others would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, plan work & manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • An effective communicator both verbal and written
  • A keen learner who can pick up new tasks quickly
  • Have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
