Pattemores is a family run business on the Somerset/Dorset border who have been trading for 80 years, firstly as a Transport provider but then growing into producing Dairy Ingredients for food producers. The dairy is now in a period of growth, expansion and investment by upgrading and increasing our production capacity to position ourselves ready for the next 80 years.

To enable this, we are looking for a Project Lead who is very hands on across a variety of projects,whilst still enjoying welding and fabrication, as well as willing to scope out new projects.This involves planning the parts and components required, completing drawings & writing the technical documentation. This is a full-time permanent role, working a permanent day shift

**Your main Roles and Responsibilities will include**:
The design, build and integration of new lines and upgrades to our current site process lines.

To be an accountable and hands on Project Lead for Process Engineering within our Dairy Ingredients site.

To manage and be responsible for the success of all projects that are assigned to you, while ensuring that the main aspects including scope, schedule, risk, quality and resource are controlled.

Help coordinate cross functional teams, contractors and suppliers that are involved in your projects and hold a responsibility for their performance.

**Accountabilities**:

- Main technical point of contact for assigned projects.
- Interpretation of site requirements and to enable the design, hardware selection and outsourced work packages.
- Planning and execution of assigned projects in accordance with key dates, milestones and Company procedures.
- Coordination of outsourced work packages and sub contractors.
- Participation in regular team meetings and customer project reviews.
- Generating project documentation including statements of work, specifications, commissioning documentation, completion certificates, Operating & Maintenance manuals, etc.
- Liaising with and supporting the on site site delivery team.
- Cooperating and communicating effectively with manufacturing and operations management.
- Ability to mentor, lead and motivate others
- Responsibility for your own health and safety as well as those around you.
- Ensure project milestones are achieved in support of planned implementation.
- Provide regular project updates to the Site Manager and Directors

Do you have the following?
- Extensive Welding and Fabrication Experience including Purge, Stainless and Mild Steel
- Able to produce and work from drawings.
- On site welding as well as bench welding
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to manage several tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
- Be hard working and conscientious
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated but also work as part of a team without constant supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Project management skills
- Relevant or previous experience within Food or Beverage Industry
- Experience in creating Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Knowledge of current and applicable regulations, CDM, Pressure Equipment, etc
- Ideally, you have demonstrable design and project experience.
