Welder/fabricator

Are you looking for a welding/fabrication job that offers a wide variety of both bench and site welding and fabrication? Do you have experience in stainless steel and purge welding? The role differs everyday but the main part of the role will be installing new process lines, removing old, upgrading or expanding current process lines. We are looking for a welder/fabricator ideally able to TIG and MIG weld who has the following:

- Purge Welding/Hygienic Welding an advantage.
- Knowledge of Stainless Steel and Mild Steel Welding.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques.
- Perform general fabrication and TIG welding of various forms of circular and square hollow section stainless steel pipework.
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces.
- Ability to work from drawings and sketches.
- Good communication skills
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards to maintain site and regulatory compliance.
- The ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible “can do” attitude to work and a good work ethic is essential.
- Must have the ability to undertake manual handling duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong knowledge of different types of welding techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs

**Skills**:

- Welding: Proficient in various welding techniques such as TIG/MIG welding
- Fabrication: Ability to fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications
- Power Tools: Experience operating power tools for cutting, shaping, and grinding metal pieces
- Hand Tools: Proficiency in using hand tools for measuring, marking, and assembling metal pieces
- Sheet Metal: Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including cutting, bending, and forming
- Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical systems for troubleshooting and repairs

**Salary**: Up to £36,500.00 per year
