Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is a 211-year-old membership organisation and, as the only accredited Chamber in the county, is recognised as the premier business group representing all sizes of business. Providing a range of member benefits, events, training and support to our members, comprising everything from small start-ups to major international corporate brands, the Chamber works in partnership across the public and private sector to make our area the best place in which to do business. Devon & Plymouth Chamber lobbies hard for our area and incorporates the Plymouth Area Business Council. The International Trade team at the Chamber also delivers training, advice, and documentation services to a range of exporters. The Chamber is entering an exciting period in its development with new members joining every week and is expanding its outreach and influence with key strategic partners across the region.
**About the Role**
As a Project and Events Administrator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing project activities, ensuring smooth execution of events, and maintaining effective communication within the team. Reporting to the Project Executive this role will provide the pivotal administration support for Phase 2 of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) being led by the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce for the Heart of the South West. The role will be responsible for providing an effective administration resource which will enable the project’s KPIs to be met and supporting events run by the Chamber. This role is an integral part of the team and will be accountable for contributing to the overall success of the operations. Whilst working independently within the small, dedicated team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard it will also be essential to maintain meaningful and relevant communication with partners and with stakeholders. Your day-to-day tasks will be varied and engaging, and you will act as the backbone of the project and event teams, ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication across departments.

- Good IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Flexible with an ability to multitask
- Use of own transport (reasonable expenses will be paid)

- Experience of managing projects (training can be provided)
