Up to £24,000 per annum

**You will**:
Be part of the Mr Fothergill’s People Team, supporting colleagues in all areas of the employee life cycle.

Report to the People Business Partner.

Be working across both our Kentford and Newmarket sites, however your primary location will be Kentford.

**Working closely with the People Business Partner you will**:
Support the day to day running of the People function whilst developing positive day to day relationships with colleagues

Support the People team with ongoing People projects as required, ensuring our projects are delivered on time and to budget

Take a forward looking approach and assist in the creation, implementation and distribution of new People policies, procedures and processes, which are balanced in their focus on the employee experience and meeting the needs of the company

Ensure the manager has the relevant onboarding guidance ahead of the start date and that all paperwork has been received

Complete any contractual variation documents such as promotions, salary increases, working pattern or job title changes, ensuring an accurate and prompt response in line with GDPR compliance

Co-ordinate training for colleagues, including managing e-learning systems - Metacompliance or any other systems notified to you

Support and assist with ad hoc lunch and learns for managers, supervisors and team leaders

Coordinate office social events. This may at time include hosting social events.

Support and develop wellbeing initiatives and events, and assist in rolling these out to colleagues.

Support the collation of all People metrics in relation to performance, recruitment, employee turnover, learning and development, absence management

Support the monthly payroll run advising on starters, leavers and changes to existing terms

Update the employee database, Ensuring accuracy at all times

Be responsible for the offboarding administration, including; making arrangements for exit conversations

Complete holiday pay, maternity, adoption and paternity calculations where necessary

Assist with formal meeting minute taking alongside Senior management. This may include grievance, disciplinary or performance management meetings

Deal with requests for information and first line queries in relation to employee matters

Monitor the shared team inbox activity, and respond to general queries, escalating any complex queries to the People Business Partner, or a senior member of the team as appropriate

Monitor long service and our colleague reward & recognition schemes

Be expected to adhere to deadlines and be transparent in communicating expectations to the rest of the team

Perform any other associated tasks within the People function

**Recruitment**

Co-ordinate the recruitment process in conjunction with the People Business Partner and relevant line managers. Ensure recruitment matters are progressed in a timely manner and as efficiently as possible

Assist with the creation and updating of recruitment packs and posting of roles across our intranet and via recruitment and social media platforms

Confidently liaise with both potential employees and hiring managers on a day-to-day basis by telephone, face to face as well as virtually

Monitor the Recruitment inbox

Coordinate background screening (references) with Hiring Managers

Assist with reporting and tracking the recruitment life cycle experience

Any other associated tasks required by management

Experience of maintaining HR systems and records

Experience of providing advice to managers and colleagues on employment policies
