We are seeking an individual to join Voids Team to provide administration support for a team of Surveyors and Co-ordinators responsible for the turnaround of empty home repairs for social housing.
**Your next role**
As a Voids Apprentice, you will record and monitor empty properties on our portal and spreadsheets, and manage data for processing invoices from energy providers, contractors and other utility companies.
The post holder will have strong communication skills, be focused and enjoy working as a team. This is a key supporting role to Surveyors and Co-ordinators to ensure our homes are ready for new tenants as quickly as possible.
You will be raising works orders onto a Housing database system which will require a good level of accuracy and the ability to manage your time effectively to ensure these are raised within tight timescales to ensure homes are ready to re-let within our key performance targets.
In this role you will also be analysing and monitoring council tax charges that are applied to void homes to ensure that the charges are accurate.
In addition to these duties, you will record the energy recordings for empty homes onto an external portal for our Energy contract that provides costs savings including energy switching for homes to more focused energy saving services for Social Landlords.
**Qualifications required for this post**
Entry requirements for the Level 3 Apprenticeship are:
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C (level 4) or above or equivalent qualifications
**Knowledge & Experience**
In addition, we are also looking for people who have:
- Good IT skills, preferably with experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to work to manage own workload and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to show initiative and take responsibility for the quality of own work
- A Professional approach and presentable in appearance
- A passion for learning
