Established referral veterinary practice require an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide support services to the business. We are a specialist referral practice: we believe that all camelids (llamas and alpacas) deserve access to the best health care and welfare. We value Knowledge, Service and Excellence. - Working 20 hours per week_, as Administrative Assistant you would be a vital contributor to our small team, helping this innovative veterinary business expand its reach. You would report directly to Director of the business who is also the sole veterinarian and provide an effective administration support service; a friendly and professional service to clients, prospective clients, colleagues and visitors; provide estimates to potential clients; raise invoices, pay bills and manage paperwork.

**Responsibilities**:

- Dealing with enquiries efficiently and effectively
- Organising filing systems and updating office databases
- Assist with daily organisational tasks
- Dealing with suppliers, checking pricing and researching better prices, ordering new supplies where required
- Processing invoices, tracking receipts, inputting expenses and other basic bookkeeping tasks (we use Xero)
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes if required
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Organising travel arrangements where required
- Managing shop orders and keeping track of stock
- Assistance in organising building maintenance and ensuring compliance with health and safety.

This role profile is intended to provide an outline of the main responsibilities only. The postholder will need to be flexible in developing the role and having ongoing discussions with the Director.

Rural location (Goring Heath, Oxon), will need a car.

**Hours of Work**:20 hours p/wk on the basis of a 5 day week - within core times of 9 am to 5.30 pm Mon - Fri (Flexibility essential). There may be scope to increase hours later.

**Salary**:£25,000 to £30,000 p.a. pro rata 20 hours (£12,500 - £15,000 p.a.), depending on experience.
