Accounts Assistant

An independently owned SME business in Llantrisant are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.
The company has been established for over 40 years and has enjoyed consistent growth. With this sustained success they have developed a reptation for excellence in south Wales.
Reporting to the Company Accountant, the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk will be to ensure records are kept accurate, documents are processed and reconciled in a timely fashion.
Accounts Assistant Clerk duties
- Processing invoices, liaise with suppliers regarding invoices received, process and reconcile supplier statements, summaries and credit notes.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Processing credit card statements.
- Preparation of monthly financial summaries of bank reconciliations and assisting with preparing VAT Returns.
- Preparation of Payroll information for salaried and weekly paid colleagues.
- Resolve any queries from internal or external sources.
Accounts Assistant person specification
- Demonstrable experience in an Accounting role.
- Experience of using Sage 50.
- Strong communication skills who is able to build relationships quickly.
- Keen eye for detail and able to keep composed.
