Medserv UK was established in 2010 and initially was run from the Irish Office. In 2014 the first UK based office was opened, initially we began billing and then introduced our remote practice management services in 2017. Due to massive growth in both practice management and billing services, we moved to a larger UK office where we are now based in Haywards Heath.

**Role Overview**:
We are looking to recruit a Private Medical Secretary to join our Practice Management Team. An exciting opportunity to join a growing team with huge potential for professional development. Our remote secretarial team manages the entire patient pathway for busy Consultants across the UK. Managing all patient documents/referrals, scheduling patient appointments, sending patient invoices, transcribing dictations, preparing medical reports and handling similar correspondence.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ownership of consultants' and secretaries queries, taking payments, issuing correspondence, etc
- Scheduling clinics, follow-ups and additional procedure scheduling as required
- Managing multiple consultants' calendars and clinics
- Managing & reviewing medical dictations
- Scanning medical information and uploading to the PM system
- Participate in weekly team meetings with management
- Liaising with internal teams regarding insurance and claims queries
- Coach and assist clients to ensure they are confident in using our service effectively
- Assist with training of new members of staff when necessary
- Liaising with other external parties for bookings etc
- Ad hoc duties as they arise

**Requirements**:

- Secretarial experience desirable but not required
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Personable, calm phone manner
- Ability to work within a team environment and maintain a constructive approach when responding to internal and external personnel
- Be computer literate with the ability to pick up systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure effectively
- Be confident with dealing with multiple patients and clients daily
