M&J Group is a distinguished specialist construction company with a proud 50-year history. Our operations are divided into three main divisions: Flat Roofing, Pitched Roofing, and Construction. We are currently looking for an Administrator to join our Contracts department at our head office in Bedford.
**Office Hours**: 8 am - 5 pm (1-hour lunch). Occasionally may require longer hours or weekend work during peak periods or special projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Administrative Support**: Conduct daily administration tasks, acting as the initial point of contact for incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate team member. Strong telephone communication skills and a confident phone manner are essential.
- **Project Assistance**: Assist Project Managers with daily administration, including booking accommodation for roofing operatives.
- **Logistics Coordination**: Organise material deliveries to the site and collections.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**: Communicate with the Health & Safety team to ensure up-to-date Risk Assessments & Method Statements for each project are recorded.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborate with roofing operatives working on-site to support the smooth progress of general construction and roofing projects.
**Required Experience & Skills**:
- **Communication**: Confident telephone communication skills.
- **Experience**: Previous administrative experience is essential.
- **Location**: Ability to commute to Bedford daily.
- **Skills**: Proactive with strong organisational and multitasking skills. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
**Reporting Structure**:
- The role will report to the Senior Project Manager.
**What We Offer**:
