The main function of the role is to support the Supply Chain manger to ensure efficient purchase and supply of raw materials into the facility through the management of various functions and departments, which contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives for the Supply Chain
Department.
**JOB PURPOSE **The role is to support the Supply Chain Department in both internal and external projects, driving lean and process improvement initiatives and acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day issues.
The role will working closely with other sites within the Convenience Division to best utilise materials and allocations, whilst working to standardise Supply Chain processes.
Supply Chain
- Timely progressing /ordering of raw materials to come to site in accordance with production requirements, from both suppliers and offsite warehousing.
- Administration of order confirmations, delivery notes, booking in and invoicing.
- Updating Raw Material and pricing of such on the IT system.
- Support within departmental and divisional budgets set and identify opportunities for cost reductions
- Support work to comply with supply chain objectives and assist with monitoring performance
- Perform any other duties as required by the Supply Chain Manager - Cambridge you will be expected to establish strong working relationships with all departments
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
Purchasing & Material planning/forecasting
- Ordering short notice raw materials such as Board, Windows, APET and Outers in accordance with demand
- Place daily call offs for raw materials with suppliers..
- Implement board grade changes, inform the relevant depts.
- Booking in of all Raw material deliveries
- Keeping storage records up to date along with Radius
- Liaise with suppliers on all issues that affect supply of raw materials.
- Work to find alternate materials where appropriate to keep production running
- Delivery notes and Purchase order checking
- Work closely with Sales and Production Departments to ensure customer deadlines are met
- **Achieve site H&S targets**:
- Achieve site quality targets
- Achieve site EBITDA targets
- Achieve department KPI’s - tracked monthly
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS *
- Meet and maintain customer requirements
- Maintain sufficient staffing levels within budget whilst arranging appropriate training for depts as well as succession planning

**SKILLS/QUALS ** **High standard of Microsoft Excel skills required.**
- Good general level of education, preferably to Diploma/NVQ IV level.
- Experience with Purchasing and MRP preferred, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to quickly recognise problems and take actions to achieve positive results
- Previous experience of Print/Packaging preferred, but not essential
- Pragmatic approach to single and multiple deadline problem solving
