As a Physical Activity and Health Coordinator apprentice you will be an integral member of the Community, Sport and Health team. The role will contribute to a Sport and Active Community strategy both in our centres and within the community. This role will utilise the power of sport to engage with the community to deliver a range of sport, health and wellbeing programmes and initiatives.

**Day to day you’ll be involved in**:
Supporting the leisure centres in Mansfield - gym and/or swim, reception, setting up equipment for sports and activities
Working with Vibrant Warsop to increase engagement with local residents to increase activity which improves health and wellbeing
Assisting with community activities across Mansfield as part of the MLCT Active Communities programme

**Supporting the day to day running of the leisure centres**: reception, gym or swim, sports
Promoting and developing physical activity, wellbeing and behavioural change
Engaging with residents to understand the barriers to physical activity and to support them as individuals to take the first steps to overcome these barriers

**Preparing for your recruitment journey**:
Our provider will require you to take a skill scan and undertake initial assessments if you are selected for the apprenticeship.

Flexibility as to working pattern is essential - there may be evening and weekend working.

The post will be working 2 days a week at either Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Water Meadows Leisure Complex or Rebecca Adlington Leisure Centre plus 2 days with Vibrant Warsop in Warsop

Some work outdoors in all weather may be needed.

Hours will be varied and could include early mornings, evenings and weekends
