We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Assistant to join our fun loving and friendly Learning and Organisational Development Team. We provide training interventions to a range of internal and external customers across the NHS, independent contractors, healthcare providers and others. You will be a key player within the team supporting all aspects of training provision; ensuring high quality standards and professionalism are applied to all aspects of the team’s functions.

You must hold a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration or have equivalent relevant experience in addition to excellent IT skills - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook.), customer service skills and experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment.

Knowledge of ESR (electronic staff record) and experience of working in a training team is desirable.

We offer flexibility and hybrid working and although advertised as full time, part-time would be considered.

The post holder will be required to use the Electronic Staff Record to coordinate the booking of a variety of training events across LCHS and maintain training records relating to all education and training activities being able to respond to queries in relation to bookings and general training enquiries.

- LCHS policies, procedures and guideline - It is a condition of your employment that as an employee you are expected to adhere to our policies, procedures and guidelines. These can all be found on the Trust’s website.
- To be fully trained within certain aspects of the Electronic Staff Record that allow the post holder to be competent on the Oracle Learning Management System
- To assist in ensuring that ESR/OLM courses, offerings, classes, competencies, resources, venues and e-learning are maintained and updated as required.
- Record course bookings and produce course registers to appropriate deadlines
- Reproduction of materials for training courses to a high standard
- Record feedback and evaluation results from training courses and pass on information to trainers
- Support the Senior Administrator-Apprentice Centre and L&D Funding & Commissioning Lead in collating data for reporting
- Update training records following receipt of course registers
- Respond to both internal and external queries in relation to training bookings and general training queries in a professional manner forwarding messages where appropriate.
- Plan and organise trainers and resources to training programmes when required
- Send pre-course reminders to managers and delegates
- Use knowledge of Social Media to promote the Learning & Organisational Development Team
- Assist the Learning & Organisational Development Team to keep processes updated through knowledge of IT
- To book meetings as directed by the Learning & Organisational Development Team and ensure that suitable accommodation/refreshments/equipment are provided
- Be able to provide general administrative support within the Learning & Organisational Development Team.
- Actively contribute to own and team development undertaking training programmes as identified in behaviour and performance appraisal.
- To prioritise work commitments to meet the needs of the service and to manage work time effectively.
- To attend team meetings and contribute to the development of the service
