**HR and Payroll Administrator**

**Location: Park Vet Group, Saffron Lane**

**Hours: 10hrs per week (flexible to business need around payroll deadlines)**

**Salary: From £11/hr (depending on experience)**

**Reporting to: Practice Manager***

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Payroll Administrator to join our team.

The successful person will answer all internal and external payroll related queries, as well as support the management of shared mailboxes together with elements of HR admin and data management.

You will be highly organised, have the ability to juggle various tasks whilst being able to prioritise, have exceptional MS Office skills along with extensive diary management.

Attention to detail and confidentiality is essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic multi-tasker who will work well with others as well as on their own initiative.

**Overview**
The purpose of this position is to process payroll for all relevant associates in a timely manner. This will include keeping accurate records, liaising with the central payroll team, answering all payroll queries from Park Vet Group associates, locums, casual contract employees and the central team as needed.
You will be highly organised, with attention to detail and appropriate management of confidential data essential.

**Main Purpose & Goals**
- To process payroll for all relevant associates
- Assist internal associates, locums, casual contract employees and central support team with payroll queries as needed.
- To engage teams in wellbeing initiatives
- Support management of shared mailboxes for payroll/HR queries.

**Key Responsibilities - Payroll**
- Accurately record and submit all payroll changes
- Maintain accurate records and process all payroll related paperwork e.g. tax forms, salary certificates, state benefit (maternity, paternity, sick, etc.), statutory notices, loans, fines, etc
- Ensure the processing of payroll and all payroll related paperwork is in line with the most up to date legislation and company procedures. This includes reviewing all timesheets for associates.
- Ensure the payroll spreadsheet is signed off and submitted in line with appropriate deadlines.
- Act as the key contact for all internal / external payroll queries
- Calculate payroll bonuses for out-of-hours shifts where needed e.g. Christmas and Bank Holiday shifts.
- Calculate payroll bonuses for ophthalmology teams when on-call.
- Keep the payroll spreadsheet up to date with information on starters and leavers.

**Key Responsibilities - HR**
- Support with new joiner process by ensuring VDS cover & private medical insurance is set up (where appropriate).
- Maintain a working knowledge of Linnaeus HR policies and signpost employees to correct policies where needed.
- Keep Cascade updated for sickness records.
- Oversee communication of wellbeing initiatives with the wider teams
- Assist with right to work checks for new starters as needed
- Identify associates who have reached a work anniversary and communicate this with their appropriate line manager.
- Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the HR team and the wider business
- To have a good understanding of employment legislation and policies acting as main point of contact for all associates
- Maintain holiday allowance for all staff via appropriate channel (e.g. PeopleHR)
- Maintain working patterns on PeopleHR for all staff to ensure up to date

**Required Experience**
- Previous experience in HR/payroll work
- Knowledge of basic employment law and HR / Payroll practices.
- Qualifications in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent level training
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organised, effective time management and prioritisation of tasks.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- High level of attention to detail
- Appropriate management of confidential data.
- Able to multi-task and manage diary and workload independently.

**Desirable Experience**
- Veterinary business experience
- Mental Health First Aider
- Experience with HR platforms and data inputting
