Job Title: Payroll Administrator

A permanent part-time opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join a large successful business in the UK. The role is hybrid and the hours are flexible.

About the Job:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic team, responsible for managing the full end-to-end process of the company's monthly payroll for circa 1300 employees.
  • The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of payroll practices, experience working as a payroll administrator, strong knowledge of payroll software, and excellent IT skills including MS Office.
  • The Payroll Administrator will work closely with the HR Manager and be responsible for ensuring payments are accurate and processed on time, maintaining payroll systems and records, preparing and submitting payroll, deductions, and benefits contributions, and resolving payroll discrepancies and queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the entire end-to-end monthly payroll process for circa 1300 UK employees across various departments and locations.
  2. Maintain payroll systems and records, including new hires, terminations, changes to salaries, and other payroll adjustments.
  3. Prepare and submit payroll, deductions, and benefits contributions.
  4. Resolve payroll discrepancies and payroll queries.
  5. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NICs), pension schemes (auto-enrolment), and statutory payments (SSP, SMP).
  6. Generate and distribute payroll reports to management and other stakeholders as needed.
