**_ About the role_**

To support the Financial Accounting and Payroll functions by providing effective financial accounting and control across the Trust, including balance sheet control, cash flow management, regulatory and external reporting. Within Payroll, supporting with processing, reconciling and coordinating payroll operations for the Trust.

**Finance**
- Prepare cash flow reports
- Support with ensuring income and expenditure is accurately recorded based on restricted / non-restricted status
- Prepare Trust-wide monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis
- Prepare control account reconciliations.
- Support effective operation of the Trust’s billing and collections processes

**Payroll**
- All tasks involved in processing monthly payroll for approximately 2000 employees via an outsourced payroll provider

Permanent, full time role, 37 hours per week Mon-Fri

**_ Who we are looking for_**
- Level 4 AAT or equivalent (applicants currently studying AAT will be considered if they have essential experience)
- Experience of processing outsourced payroll in a large or multi site organisation
- Experience of finding and correcting errors.
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, including accruals and prepayments
- Strong Excel (VLookup, pivot tables, etc)
- Proactive, ability to evolve with the job role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to challenge and improve systems and processes
- Ability to work on own initiative and in consultation with stakeholders
- Accurate and numerate
- High personal integrity and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible as part of a small team
- Enthusiasm for new challenges
