Our client a successful national organisation based in Loughborough are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer on a Part Time (21 hours per week, 3 full days or 5 part days) for a period of 12 months to cover Maternity Leave.
This is a superb hybrid opportunity with a minimum of 1 day in the office on offer.
The Payroll Officer will work within the Finance Team, in collaboration with the HR Team, to process the payroll for organisations staff.
Responsible for:

- Processing monthly payroll for approximately 80 staff members
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 300 staff
- Calculate and process any changes to the staff payroll
- Ensure payroll calculations are correct and processed according to company policies and statutory legislation
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies and respond to queries in a timely manner
- Take ownership of annual and monthly duties, including payroll reconciliations, statutory returns, benefits in kind, and payments to HMRC and pension providers
- Monthly reconciliations of payroll control accounts
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers on any queries
- Providing high quality, customer focussed and proactive support to the organisation
- Maintaining, developing, and enhancing internal and external relationships
- Work in collaboration with the HR Team to ensure relevant supporting documents are provided and appropriate approvals received
- Checking and authorising of all fee claims, including travel and subsistence, for DCP and NT
- Working in collaboration with the Logistics and wider Teams to ensure an efficient claims process
- Processing and administration of pension contributions (NEST), including enrolling eligible staff
- System support for DCP and NT, providing remote assistance and IT trouble shooting where necessary
- Assist the Finance Team with any ad-hoc duties as reasonably required

The person
- Relevant experience in a small finance and/or payroll team
- Sound knowledge and experience of payroll legislation
- Previous responsibility for running in-house payroll
- Immediately Availalble or on Short Notice

The package
- Expected 12 month contract - Part Time 21 hours per week over 3 or 5 days
- Hybrid working, min 1 day per week in the office
- Salary: £26845 pro rata
