We are recruiting an aspiring Accounts Payable Clerk to join our expanding Accounts Payable team.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will report to the Accounts Payable Team Leader and be working closely within a team to process approximately 4,000 invoices per month. You will be working with a passionate and supportive team. In a business that has recently completed a significant investment in Oracle Finance, knowledge of the system or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.

Our client will support you to gain your Level 3 Assistant Accountant Diploma through their Apprenticeship programme

**What You’ll be doing.**

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will consist of:

- The accurate and timely provision of purchase ledger duties and accounts functions
- Following up on unauthorised invoices/credits that appear on the invoice register with the relevant departments
- To input invoice details and orders and match against purchase order documentation
- Producing monthly supplier statement reconciliations, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring they are resolved within SLA
- Completion of a weekly BACs payment run ensuring invoices are paid within the agreed terms
- Ensuring that all correspondence relating to overdue accounts is actioned and solved on the day of receipt
- Taking supplier queries and investigating and resolving or referring where necessary
- Stakeholder management at all levels, both internally and externally

**What You’ll need.**
- Experience gained within a similar environment and have worked in Accounts Payable.
- Due to the nature of our business, the ability to thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment would be preferred.
- Have a flexible, enthusiastic attitude and enjoy being part of a team
- Team player with a good overview of how the AP process works
- Excellent communication skills, and an eye for detail.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial, along with experience of large amounts of Data are preferable
- Be computer literate (Microsoft packages)
- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Be adaptable to ongoing process changes
- Have a sound understanding of the purchase to pay process (P2P)
- Excellent customer service skills
