We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at Reed. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding to Cost centres and nominal codes.
- Creditors Management: Maintain and update creditor files, including contact information, payment terms, and tax information.
- Financial Record Keeping: Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system and maintain organized records.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing accounts payable reports and analyses as required.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Qualifications: AAT qualified or currently studying or equivalent qualification including QBE.
- Education: Education to GCSE level with Maths and English at Grades A*-C or equivalent with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Skills: Computer competent, Microsoft Office suite, with Excel preferably to intermediate level. Experience of Accounting Software, ideally Xero but training is available.
