We are seeking to recruit a Chemotherapy Care Co-Ordinator who has a cheerful and friendly disposition to work part time. You must be enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated with excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a busy oncology team.

As an Chemotherapy Care Co-Ordinator you will bring relevant oncology and chemotherapy experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You will demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you will show diligence, have IT literacy skills and passion for development and training to make a difference.
- The Post holder will work collaboratively as part of the trust wide Oncology Nurse Practitioner Team/Lead Nurse. Providing administration support to assist in ensuring chemotherapy/systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) patient pathway is managed effectively.
- Assist in the trust wide co-ordination of new patient referrals received by the Oncology Nurse Practitioner Team’s to ensure timely commencement of chemotherapy/SACT.

- Duties will be assigned by and carried out under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, according to the individual patient care plan/pathway. Duties include discussion and reporting of any changes in the patient’s condition to the registered nurse.
- Where additional skills training is identified as required by the job description, the post holder will not undertake those duties until training has been undertaken (except as part of the supervised learning experience).
- To be an effective member of the team to which the post holder is attached.
- To carry out delegated administrative tasks within the team.
- Duties within this job description will be delegated from a registered nurse and will be dependent upon the Specialism of the team.
