**The Role**

We have an exciting new role for a seasoned Marketing professional to lead Marketing for our expanding Medical Business Area with its ambitious growth plans through identification and creation of new markets for niche medical products.

This new role will define, manage and deliver the Marketing strategy for Medical, ensuring it's aligned to delivery of the overall Medical strategy. It'll act as a strategic business partner across the various Marketing disciplines - Market Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, New Business Development, Product Management and Marketing Communications - to deliver world class Marketing to Medical.

A key aspect of the role will be creating ways of working between Medical and the broader Marketing team to fulfill the needs of Medical whilst working to deliver functional maturity and excellence in Marketing too.

The role will have dual reporting to both the Managing Director for Medical and the Marketing Director and will sit on both the Medical and Marketing Leadership Teams, providing excellent opportunities for personal growth from both a business and functional perspective.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the development of the Medical business strategy as a member of the Medical Leadership Team
- Define and agree the Marketing strategy for the Medical business (with the Medical Managing Director and the Marketing Director) covering the various Marketing disciplines - Market Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, New Business Development, Product Management and Marketing Communications - in support of the Medical strategy
- Implement and manage delivery of the Medical Marketing strategy to all required standards and outcomes
- Manage Marketing activities with other key functions (Sales, Research & Development, Manufacturing) to ensure delivery of the Medical strategy
- Work with Medical customers to create win:win marketing opportunities
- Manage and integrate delivery of the overall Medical Marketing team (both direct and indirect) across Market Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, New Business Development, Product Management and Marketing Communications to deliver the Medical marketing strategy and plans
- Support development and delivery of Marketing functional excellence and capability including best practice, process development and ways of working, via interactions with the Marketing Director and the broader enterprise Marketing group; member of the Marketing Leadership Team.

**Requirements**:
You'll also have demonstrable experience of successfully working in business to business environments and Medical or highly regulated industries, as well as experience of successfully navigating and delivering in a matrix environment.

The role will require regular travel to both the Hillhouse and Leeds offices as well as regular travel to trade shows globally.

An MBA and membership of a professional Marketing institute/body are highly desirable.
