**Accounts Assistant**
**£20-24k DOE**
**Skelmersdale, Wigan (WN8)**
AEL is a successful and growing organisation with over 20 years of experience the construction industry, and this role has arisen to support a new phase of growth for the business.
The role is full-time and fully in the office, 9am - 5pm.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day sales ledger, including processing accurate sales invoices and proformas
- Updating invoice trackers and liaising with the production managers to ensure all invoicing is captured in a timely manner
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Processing purchase invoices for overheads
- Supporting with journals and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g. accruals/prepayments)
- CIS statements
- General finance administration, e.g. ensuring filing is kept up-to-date
- Supporting the Finance Manager as needed
- Assisting our credit controller with credit control, e.g. sending statements of account, if needed
**Key Skills/Experience**:
- Sage 50 experience (desirable)
- AAT Level 2 or higher
- At least 1 year of experience with sales ledger, e.g. raising invoices
- High level of attention to detail
- Basic Excel skills
- Good organisation skills
- Motivated and able to work proactively
**Benefits**:
