Anord Mardix are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.

Due to continued expansion we currently have an exciting opportunity a Quality Officer to join our Modular Fabrication team at our Walton Summit, Preston site.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
- Manage material, test certificates, and inspect incoming steel
- Carry out audits on critical suppliers and report findings
- Nondestructive testing (NDT) of welds
- Final inspection of skids and pods
- Logging of quality issues for continuous improvement purposes
- Writing of SOP’s
- Outgoing quality checks
- Handling of non-conformities and deviations
- Liaise with suppliers on quality issues or opportunities
- Create or improve on existing computer systems to ensure traceability in line with EN1090 EXC3
- Assist with any training or health and safety requirements as necessary
- Assist other areas of WS1 with quality issues as required
- Carry out toolbox talks
- Any other duties as required by the Fabrication Manager

**Skill Requirements**
- Knowledge of EN1090 and other associated standards is advantageous but not essential
- Good IT skills
- High attention to detail
- Good organization skills
- Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role is desirable
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent written communication
