Operational Trainer

**About Us**:
At Butternut, the mission is to deliver health and happiness to dogs and their humans all over the world. In order to do just that, we need a squad of forward-thinking, driven people who love dogs as much as they do. And they need quite a big kitchen too. Which is precisely why they have built one.
Located in Doncaster, Rudie's Kitchen & Ace's Pantry will be the place where all the magic happens, so to speak. It's where the tasty Butternut meals are gently cooked, using human-quality ingredients because, the way we see it, they wouldn't serve food to dogs that they wouldn't be happy to eat themselves. At Butternut, they believe dogs deserve better, and if that's something you think too, we want to hear from you.
Butternut has come a long way since Kev & Dave (co-founders) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, and we are now looking for brilliant people to join the team for this next part of the story.
Are you up for the challenge?
Reporting to the Learning & Development Specialist in Operations, you will be an integral part of the Butternut squad. Your primary focus will be on compliance based training, supporting our squad members to achieve our high standards of skill, safety, and quality in the operational area.
**Responsibilities**:
**Training Ownership**:
- Take full ownership of compliance and skills training for your operational sector, aligning delivery with company objectives and performance metrics.
- Provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new squad members, supporting them through comprehensive skills training.
- Regularly update and innovate training content and procedures to mirror changes in regulations, company policies, and processes.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance training within your Operational Area to elevate the skills of our operational squad.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align training needs with company goals and operational requirements.
**Building a Multi-Skilled Squad**:
- Drive the multi-skilling program within your Operational Area to cultivate a versatile squad capable of seamlessly transitioning across various functions.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge exchange within the operation.
- Offer ongoing support and guidance to trainers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and tools to excel in their roles.
**Role Modeling Company Values and Behaviours**:
- Lead by example, embodying Butternut Box's values and behaviours.
- Integrate our company Values into your training, emphasising Health and Safety, Quality, and fostering a Culture of belonging.
- Challenging behaviours in the right way, creating an environment of constructive feedback and understanding.
- Support squad members by providing guidance on how to embody our values in their daily tasks.
- Raising the talent bar of our squad and our training practices.
**Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering compliance and skills training programs, preferably in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the food industry or similar sectors.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and motivating teams at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and adapt training strategies to meet the evolving needs of different individuals and a growing company.
- A passion for learning and development, with a commitment to staying informed of emerging trends and best practices in training and development.
**The Successful Applicant**:
A bit about you:
- Loves dogs (naturally)
- Pragmatic, adaptable, resilient and humble
- Engaging and approachable
- Operational experience in Manufacturing
- A driven individual who can work independently
- Always looking to innovate
- Passion for Training/Coaching others
