We are currently seeking a Material Controller to join our team and help manage material flow to, from and within the production facilities and to facilitate the delivery of product and programmes to agreed schedules, quality and cost.

As a Material Controller you will support the development and improvement of production material storage, flow and supply methods, techniques and associated documentation.

**Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Ensuring parts, sub-assemblies and materials are supplied in line with the production plan.
- Establish good storage, housekeeping, kanbans, stock control and replenishment of consumables.
- Manage the collection and movement of materials from and to stores, weld-shop and between production units; and the delivery of shortages to the line and deliveries off-site.
- Manage “red/green card” returns to stores, dry fit assemblies, material reject processes, subcon material flow and additional production material rejects.
- Control the movement of works order paperwork to and from production, checking works orders are completed correctly.
- Monitor subcon processes for parts leaving the production workshop.
- Support site material movements; forklift, manual handling, act as banks-person, etc.
- To support continuous improvement projects and initiatives, using e3 principles and processes where appropriate.
- Reporting of progress and any production issues.
- Management of stock materials, consumables and good production housekeeping.
- Track works orders on the shop floor, ensure works orders are being stored in suitable conditions.

**Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience**:

- Experience in material control or a related field.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (123 Insight).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

**Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience**:

- Implemented 5S and workplace best practices.
- Introduced changes in processes and methods.
- Involved in continuous improvement / lean project teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
