Communications is a corporate function in UKSBS and touches on almost every activity whether it’s a programme or project, story telling through our digital channels, a corporate event or activity or supporting change for us or our clients. We’re highly organised so you will need to be to take on this role.
We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our small and busy team to cover maternity leave. Passionate about Communications, you will have excellent digital and social media skills and the ability to develop and transform content to suit the audience and communications channels. Confident in using a range of digital tools from web publishing and analytics, you'll support our team with responsibility for our content plans, digital content, social media, project plans, events and more.
**To do this role well you will need**:
- Strong track record of delivery as a communications professional
- Substantial experience of communication and engagement with stakeholders of all levels
- Demonstrable experience of developing, delivering, and evaluating internal and external campaigns
- Experience of planning and delivering effective project and business change communications
- Experience of supporting high profile communications
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering communication plans and tactics which achieve organisational objectives
- Experience of working constructively with diverse stakeholders to achieve results and build positive relationships
- Experience of developing multi-channel content for internal channels, websites, social media, case studies, award submissions, newsletters, and presentations
- Web publishing experience using content management systems
- A good understanding of project management methods including ‘waterfall’ and ‘agile’
- Understanding of communications considerations and impacts within a customer service, shared services or technology focused environment
- An eye for design with the ability to guide visual presentation of communications materials
- Ability to use creative packages such as Adobe Creative Suite to create images/video Web publishing experience using SharePoint
- Experience of creating and delivering video and photographic content to support communication
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you hybrid working for a 37hr week (full time) with flexible start and finish times. If it helps, there is even flexibility on which office you base yourself from - Swindon or Newport.
