**Glasgow International College**

**The Role**
The College Services team play a vital role in supporting the administrative services provided to staff and students within the College. The team provides support across a range of areas, including academic and quality assurance, student experience, progression, compliance, welfare and administration. Some occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

As a College Services Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of College Services to ensure the effective and efficient administration of all processes and procedures within the college. This will cover all aspects of the student life-cycle, from registration, attendance, through assessment and examination, to completion and progression to University level study.

**Main responsibilities and functions**

Job roles may include:

- Data entry and production of standard reports, management information, and student facing documents.
- Assisting in all aspects of compliance within our regulatory framework.
- Maintaining the student management system to ensure student records are accurate and up to date
- Any other reasonable duties as required by the Managers of College Services.

**Essential**
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent, or relevant professional experience
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Strong interest in working with students and in particular international students
- A pleasant personal and telephone manner
- Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and Word
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work flexibly and to tight deadlines when necessary
- Strong and proven commitment to a customer service and teamwork ethos

**Desirable**
- Experience of working with international students
- Experience of working with large scale databases
- Administrative experience in the tertiary education sector
