**2 Female Personal Assistant Support workers required**
**Job Outline **
- **Post - 2 Female Personal Assistants **to a young lady in her 20s
**Salary**
Above the Living wage, rate £ 12 per hr for all hrs worked
**Annual Leave**
5.6 weeks paid Annual leave pro rate for contracted staff
**Days of work/ times required**
On a rota system
**Days of Work/ times Required - Each worker will work 24hrs per week on a rota basis**
Shifts are 12 hours, each staff member working 2 days per week. This equates to 4 week days and 2 weekends each per 4 week period.
**Week 1 **Tuesday, Wednesday 9:30am - 9:30pm.
**week 2** Saturday, Sunday 9:30am - 9:30pm.
Shifts will be rotational and it is a must to be able to cover the others holidays, and Sick if needed.
One weekend on and one weekend off.
**Job Purpose**
We are looking for two female support Staff to provide the highest standard of person-centred care and support, to help our young Lady lead a purposeful life and maintain her independence.
We are looking for team members who have experience with Autism or have some understanding of Autism with learning disability's.
We need support staff who can offer support with mealtimes, personal care, and activities but who will also do so much more than this.
The importance of getting to know a person holistically and who recognise the importance of this and as such, see the importance of accurate recordings, good communication and teamwork with the focused outcome of better lives for people with disability's.
You'll be providing care and support to a 25year old female, who has just recently moved out of her family home and into supported accommodation.
She is on the Autistic Spectrum with a learning Disability. She very sociable, she cannot read or write but gets her point across by copying and pasting or pictures on her I pad.
She enjoys having the opportunity to go out and do fun things and engage in new experiences.
She is looking for like-minded people who are very caring and would have a positive influence in her care needs, allowing her to live as independently as she can in her own home and being able to enjoy activities and interacting with others.
She enjoys days out, people watching, and going out for drives in her car and lunch dates. There will be some light housework required, as well as her Ironing and help cooking meals.
Part of the role:
Provide personal care, including washing and getting dressed, making sure client has clean clothes on.
Encourage client to eat and drink appropriately.
Assist with household tasks, and shopping, Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed clothes, helping to cook meals.
Keep accurate records of visits
Assist with medication
Maintain a professional relationship and promote independence.
Being a driver would have a distinct advantage
**Employer**
You will be employed by the personal employer, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support
organisation.
**Probationary period**
- There is a 6 month probationary period attached to the post
- Successful applicant will have to undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme and supply 2 up to date reference contacts prior to appointment
