This exciting new role has been created to lead the ICB’s Governance Team, with responsibility for leading and co-ordinating specialist workstreams that support the ICB’s Corporate Governance arrangements. You will lead a small team, with a strong focus on efficient and effective delivery of corporate objectives.

This is a great opportunity for you to bring a fresh perspective to the ICB. Advising it proactively on “art of the possible” opportunities to improve and embed well-led, ethical and best practice solutions to a wide range of regulatory and legislative matters.

We are seeking a technically competent and highly proficient “Subject Matter Expert” to lead and advise the ICB on all Corporate Governance matters. This will include supporting the ICB’s Leadership in the continuing development of corporate functions, and monitoring compliance with the requirements of various Governance Frameworks.

You will also assist the Associate Director of Corporate Governance in the co-ordination of ICB Board and Committee meetings, providing assurances that these are working well.

You will be the day-to-day leader of an efficient, effective, high-quality and professional Corporate Governance function. Helping us to not just meet ICB statutory and regulatory requirements, the role will also be aligning well with the governance activities of fellow ICS organisations

You will be responsible for shaping the ICB’s Governance Frameworks, in line with corporate strategy and statutory / regulatory requirements. Taking a lead on programmes that deliver leading-edge business practices that are efficient, effective and safe.

- Leading governance initiatives & work programmes.

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for planning functions; managing the NHS budget and arranging the provision of health services in the geographical area.

**Location**: Home based/hybrid working (most of posts). Travel on occasions to a Hub location with at least 1 days notice New starters are expected to collect IT equipment, from offices in Stoke-on-Trent, and if based at home are required to have appropriate desk/chair/ relevant equipment in compliance with DSE regulations.

Posts at Band 8c and above, will take part in the On-call rota, flexible over 7 days, supporting the System Control Centre, with full training provided.

Unconscious Bias/Invisible Disability Training and Equality Induction are mandatory.

Supporting the Associate Director of Corporate Governance, the Postholder will be responsible for helping to shape the ICB’s overarching Governance Frameworks in line with corporate strategy.

With responsibility for delivering specific programmes and projects; which will include the following, although not exclusively:

- To develop and manage ICB-ICS Risk and Board Assurance Frameworks, ensuring they drive our core business, including regularly analysing areas of under-performance and developing plans to address any deficiencies;
- To develop and manage integrated governance strategies and supporting policies, including a policy co-ordination system required for aligning Corporate, Clinical, Financial, Information & Research Governance policy matters;
- To develop and maintain the Corporate Registers for Conflicts of Interest and Gifts & Hospitality across the ICB, undertaking ICB & ICS personnel training or awareness programmes as required;
- To develop and manage ICB’s ‘Access to Information’ (FOIA & SAR) and other IG processes and systems, including response to UK GDPR and supporting the ICB’s DPO, undertaking ICB & ICS personnel training or awareness programmes as required;
