About the opportunity: We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our growing Everton in the Community team.

As Volunteer Coordinator you will work alongside the Volunteer Manager to establish new opportunities for Everton in the Community’s hugely successful volunteering programme, working with volunteers and regional partners to create a range of community-based activities, delivered by local people that contribute to a number of key regional strategies.
- Other key responsibilities will include:
Ensure that EitC’s strict volunteer policy is followed accordingly with each volunteer and that DBS checks and training protocol is followed entirely before volunteers become active on EitC programmes.-
- Effectively track, record and monitor volunteers’ progress and achievements on a regular basis, utilising electronic data and monitoring systems.-
- Help to organise and deliver effective volunteer inductions that give prospective volunteers all the information they need, particularly in relation to safe working practices, professional expectations, policies and procedures. This will include production of written materials for distribution at Inductions.-
- Working collaboratively to ensure volunteer skills are matched effectively with the roles they will be carrying out and the needs of the Charity, whilst identifying training opportunities to up-skill those volunteers who need additional training.-
- Provide effective support to the Volunteer Manager in:- Assisting in the development of an effective recruitment process for volunteers of all ages, from diverse communities throughout the region, who have an interest in engaging local people in a range of innovative projects-
- Effectively monitoring and managing the prompt reimbursement of volunteer expenses.-
- Planning and implementing formal and informal volunteer recognition activities to acknowledge and reward the contribution made by volunteers to the Charity- Safeguarding_- To understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.-
- To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment.Who we are looking for: We are looking for an individual who has a deep understanding of the value of volunteering to the third sector and the opportunity this creates to build capacity across a diverse range of community projects.

Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:
Approachable and empathic, with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a diverse range of people to strive towards ambitious life goals.-
- Highly motivated with a passion for volunteering and work within the charity/community sector.-
- Excellent personal organisational skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and manage a varied workload within deadlines and to maintain a high standard of personal efficiency and appearance.-
- Knowledge and awareness of trends in volunteering, including current legislation and best practice.-
- Experience of promoting and marketing volunteering opportunities and the benefits of volunteering.-
- Experience of managing personal data in line with national legislationThis role will be offered on a Fixed Term basis, working 21 hours per week.

The location is primarily within our Everton in the Community Campus, Liverpool, L4, travel across the Liverpool City Region will also be required.
