**Salary**:Grade 4, £27,000 - £31,000 (appointment made depending on skills and experience)***

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Working hours**: Full time (35 hours a week). Standard working hours between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

Are you an experienced media relations professional? Or are you someone skilled in social media? Could you fill one of these exciting roles and help the Royal College of Physicians achieve its aim of improving health and healthcare? The RCP is recruiting a Social Media Coordinator and a Media Manager.

We’re looking for someone to help develop our social media presence, using it to promote the RCP and engage with our members and the wider health community. You will have devised and delivered strategies for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. You'll need a keen eye for what’s working and for new trends and ideas. You’ll need a keen ear for social listening to keep us in touch with the issues that matter to our members and opportunities for the RCP to influence healthcare on their behalf. This is a great role for anyone passionate about social media as part of coordinated communications campaigns and ready to work with others to achieve great results.

**Key Responsibilities**
- RCP-wide day to day management and monitoring of social media channels
- Planning and creating posts for campaigns and key dates
- Writing design briefs for RCP’s design team to create social media graphics
- Supporting others, including officers and senior staff, to use social media effectively to amplify the RCP’s messages
- Supporting the Media Manager, including producing daily and weekly media roundups

- Previous professional experience of developing and managing social media channels
- Able to write quickly and accurately under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and always full of ideas
- Flexible, proactive and collaborative approach to work
