**OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE - WOMEN’S FOOTBALL**
**Full time - 40 hours per week**
Sunderland AFC is looking to appoint an Operations Executive (Women’s Football) to assist the General Manager on the development of a long-term strategy for the women’s game at the Club, including to all aspects of the Club, including its personnel, budgets, commercial development and professional day-to-day management. The post holder will also manage relationships and services provided to the Club by key partners.
**Club Responsibilities**:
- Continually work towards the wider Club’s corporate strategic goals, with a special focus on Women’s football
- Attend all professional development events.
- Actively engage in a personal development plan and integrated appraisal process.
- Monitor well-being of others liaising with the Safeguarding and Inclusion Manager where appropriate.
- Ensure the Club’s Safeguarding Children rules and regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with all the policies and procedures contained within the Staff Handbook, paying regard to the Equal Opportunity, Dignity at Work and Health & Safety and security policies.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Assist the General Manager in developing a strategy and vision for women’s football at the Club.
- Knowledgeable on all Women’s Football League Competition business and meetings, in particular: commercial, finance, broadcast, facility and fixture related issues.
- Day-to-day Club budget management for Women’s football.
- Act as the conduit between the Women’s team and the newly established PGA.
- Management of relationship with facility provider against annual availability, usage and Maintenance Plan
- Responsibility for meeting Licence requirements, and to ensure Club adheres to The FA’s Rules and Regulations and the Competition Rules.
- Reporting against the FA Funding and presenting evidence required to release funding: including annual reporting, through Club accountant and finance office and such other reports as requested by The FA.
- Ability to build relationships with key funding partners to ensure club sustainability: working with other members of the Club senior management team and directors to achieve this.
- Attendance at all meetings for League Competitions arranged by The FA.
- Responsibility for fixture planning and subsequent management (through Head of Football Administration if relevant) to deliver against the Club’s plan for fixtures and events, marketing, and match-day promotion.
- Management of all staff relationships to ensure effective recruitment, day-to-day management and delivery of all work plans to agreed targets, in particular marketing/match day promotion and attendance requirements.
- Co-ordinate and oversee the games programme for all Women’s age groups including but not limited to pre-season/tournaments, travel, match officials & stewards.
- Ensure Kairos is kept up to date for all squads
- Source and oversee travel & accommodation arrangements for all fixtures and tours/tournaments (including supplier contracts, menu arrangements, housekeeping requirements, rooming lists and invoicing)
- Assist on player recruitment, contracting, registration and associated salary management in conjunction with Women’s Senior Management Team (through the Head of Football Administration if relevant).
- Maintain positive relations with key WSL, FA and England international staff (Head Coach/Director of Elite Development/relevant age group coaches, performance support staff).
- All aspects of player administration, including completion of governing body registrations, transfers, compensation agreements and loans both domestic and international.
- Managing player eligibility for matches, appearance schedules, disciplinary records, bonuses and contractual trigger clauses in transfer agreements for incoming and outgoing players.
**Desirables/Accountabilities**:
- Lead and be accountable for the Women’s football budget
- Experience of working in an elite environment
- Knowledgeable on Women’s football including process, players and governance.
**How to Apply**
The position is full time (40 hours per week), the availability to work flexible is essential to suit business needs. Additionally, you are required to work all home fixtures and special events unless previously agreed with your manager.
