**Role Profile**:
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Business, Policy, and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team at our headquarters in St Austell.

The successful applicant will work across our research, communications, and business development departments to deliver tasks relevant to our sustainability and development plans, reporting to the Senior Management Team. The right person for this role will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, IT literacy and be highly organised with an eye for detail.

**About Us**:
Harbour Housing is a regional charity providing accommodation and support to those experiencing homelessness and other disadvantages across Cornwall. We provide services and manage projects across West, Mid and East Cornwall and our goal is to empower our beneficiaries to regain their independence and work towards maintaining their own accommodation through bespoke, person-centred support.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Working alongside the Health and Safety Officer to ensure policies are written and/or compliant for new business opportunities.
- Researching and analysing bid specifications, grant guidelines and tender documents thoroughly.
- Extracting information from our existing data and translating this into concise statements that portray the Charity’s mission and impact.
- Working innovatively to gain further insight into the impact our services have upon the individuals who benefit from them, e.g., running consultation events and focus groups.
- Assisting with monitoring and evaluation of funded projects and report writing.

We are looking for someone with an interest in developing our work as a leading homelessness charity with excellent writing and communication skills. They must be IT literate with experience using Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel, and be able to quickly learn our internal computer systems. They must possess strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. They must be able to work within a small team and on their own to perform a wide range of research and development-related duties.
- Be an efficient and capable writer (possesses excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary).
