An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian with nutrition support / critical care experience to work within our Medical / Surgical Critical Care. You will be responsible for leading the Nutrition Services to medical patients in the Critical Care Unit.

We are a team of 6 Critical Care Dietitians working across two Critical Care Units. We are a friendly, dynamic team and actively involved in service and staff development. We have recently acquired an indirect calorimeter and are in discussions about joint research projects with the Cambridge Metabolic Unit.

In addition, you will contribute to Ward rounds, audit and research projects and education of the team.

To act as part of the Dietetic Team and in conjunction with the Oncology / Critical Care Team to lead and provide a very highly specialist nutrition support Dietetic Service to patients on the John Farman Critical Care Unit and Neurosurgical Critical Care Unit, Trauma Wardat Addenbrooke’s and other external Units / agencies as appropriate.

Leading the dietetic input to the trauma pathway.

To work within a multi professional framework and contribute to a first class service through evidence based clinical practice, management, education, research and audit.

To set and work towards individual and team objectives that reflect corporate plans and work within the clinical governance framework.
