Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 11000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people - patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values - Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent - are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

You will be joining a diverse and stimulating team of Paediatric Dietitians who function as part of our Regional Paediatric Oncology Service, providing specialist care to children, young people and their families with cancer diagnoses. Our work is wide ranging and well respected, both locally and as a regional specialist treatment centre. We provide excellent care across all paediatric specialities and have an ethos of child centred care and multi-professional collaboration, alongside a commitment to family focused teamwork.

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously within an agreed framework of practice as well as closely in conjunction with the Oncology Paediatric Dietitians and wider oncology multidisciplinary team.

The focus of the role is to support the work of our two Paediatric Oncology Dietitians by developing and delivering a service for monitoring the nutritional progress of children from across the region who are receiving artificial nutrition support as part of their treatment package. This will be delivered primarily through regular attendance at clinics held within the Children's Oncology Day Unit and via a telephone based service. Some support with children who are inpatients will also be included.
