Working for our organisation

**Our Trust**

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 11000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people - patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values - Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent - are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

CUH is a centre for Liver Transplantation and the current Band 6 posts rotate so skills are gained and developed in general hepatology, pre-liver and post-liver transplantation, ICU, Outpatient Clinics and regular anthropometric measurements to an ongoing patient cohort. It’s a fast paced, busy acute role but extremely rewarding and valued within CUH and the MDT.

This post will also allow CPD and development with the wider MDT to enhance the service moving forwards. The hepatology dietetic team are part of a nation-wide network of Hepatology and Liver Transplant Dietitians who meet quarterly to progress evidence-based practice and national agenda.

The Dietetic Hepatology team is supported by a recently funded, Band 4 Dietetic Practitioner, making it a wonderful opportunity to shape and develop this role within the team. The Hepatology Team sits within the Renal, Gastro and Hepatology Team within the wider Dietetic team, so there is plenty of opportunity for cross speciality learning and discussion.

The Department has a thriving and well regarded Research Group and has supported staff with post graduate qualifications; offering junior staff or those new to research guidance and support in research skills development.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) is an internationally renowned teaching hospital based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, housing Royal Papworth Hospital, Astra Zeneca, MRC and the Institute for Public Health; all linking with CUH.

Please see the attached Applicant Information Pack (combined Job Description and Person Specification) for key duties and responsibilities.

The advert will close at midnight on 19 November 2023.

Interviews are due to be held in the week commencing 4 December 2023.

**Benefits to you**

We offer development opportunities and a wide range of benefits including on-site leisure facilities, shopping concourse, day nurseries and access to a great transport system with easy access to airports and rail travel.
