The East Genomic Laboratory Hub (East GLH) is one of seven hubs in the Genomic Medicine Service. Delivering Genomics testing to 31 NHS Trusts, serving over 9m people, is complex and challenging. The Cambridge Genomics Laboratory is therefore pleased to be recruiting an experienced Healthcare Scientist who can work in a rare and inherited disease section. HCPC Registered candidates will be appointed at Band 7, and those needing to work to registration will be appointed at Band 6 until registered, subject to agreed timelines.
The Cambridge Genomics Laboratory is the lead laboratory of the East GLH. It is a busy workplace undergoing transformation. Analysis, interpretation, reporting and authorization of genomic test results
Deliver and maintain a high-quality diagnostic service to regional oncology services
Manage a small team of scientists by recruiting, training and supporting continual personal development
Ensure the continuous improvement and development of laboratory services
