**BURY, Greater Manchester**
**Hybrid role** A System Administration Assistant is required to assist Public Protection enforcement officers and managers with the successful delivery of an ICT data migration project. Training will be provided on the systems being used, but a good knowledge and understanding of ICT and software such as Excel is desirable. The Public Protection Team deals with a broad range of statutory functions, including Environmental Health, Private Sector Rented Housing, Licensing and Trading Standards and there will be opportunities to gain a unique understanding of this interesting area of enforcement and opportunity to develop your existing ICT skills and gain an insight into data collection, management and migration. Key responsibilities:

- The review of existing data and processes held by the Public Protection Service.
- Tasked with digital housekeeping of historic data.
- Work with an implementation team to search, identify and highlight existing data and prepare it to facilitate a smooth transition to a new database.

**Experience**:

- Experience of working with computers and handling digital data and databases in a commercial environment.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation
- Good knowledge and understanding of ICT and software such as Excel.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Adaptable and creative.
- Willingness to quickly learn and understanding database navigation.
- Ability to show scrutiny and be focused and methodical.
