Events Executive

An established and highly regarded organisation are recruiting for an Events Executive. An institution of international renown, this role is responsible for the Wales region. The primary purpose of the role is to drive engagement with internal and external stakeholders through a programme of events and communications.
Events Executive duties
- Raise the standing and profile of the organisation, working with key regional stakeholders and member groups.
- Ensure that strategy is delivered across the region.
- Support the programme of communications and events across the region, working collaboratively with colleagues across the regional team and other departments.
- Act as a contact point for events and activities and cascade messaging on central initiatives to the local members and vice versa.
- Support and provide effective communications between members and the organisation, highlighting issues as appropriate.
- Ensure that timely and accurate reports are submitted as appropriate as well as overseeing the administrative aspects of the region and supporting active member groups.
Events Executive person specification
- Demonstrable experience in communications, marketing and events, with strong communication (written, digital, verbal, creative), relationship management and budget management skills.
- Experience of developing and sustaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of working with sponsors/partners during event preparation.
- High quality organisational/project management skills - with ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.
