This Renal Living Donor Administrator roleis a part-time supporting the Renal Living Donor Service, nurses and Consultants -and the general renal Administration and Clerical team as required that sits within the Renal Department. You will be first and foremost supporting the smooth running of the Living Donor Pathways for our patients. The post involves general Administrative and Clerical duties including; letter typing; internal administrative and clerical, cross-covering ; collaborating with patient, internal and external department to include other NHS Hospitals and Agencies.
- Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and audio typing service to consultants and their teams. This may include coordination of both clinical and non-clinical activities
- Ensuring that patient pathways are dealt with in an accurate, effective and timely manner by monitoring status of results and appointments to ensure patients are treated within their pathway without delay
- Work in a team based administrative and secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service
- Act as point of liaison between patients, GPs other internal and external NHS staff members and agencies.
- We work very closely with Guys Hospital, London who you may have to liaise with regarding Living Donor records
- You will be working closely with the Living Donor nursing team and consultants and as part of the renal administration and clerical team.
- The Living Donor team is a small inter-renal team you will be supporting Living Donor Consultant/s and two Living Donor nurses.
- However, you will be part of the renal administration and clerical team consists of: 3 x Band 4, 9 x Band 3 and 2 x Band 2 colleagues, the A&C team is led by a Band 6 Operations Manager
- The Renal Department has an in-house patient IT system called Renal Plus, which we work with closely on a daily basis, this is alongside the trust Allscripts Patient Information and other IT Systems
