**About us**
The Vale of Glamorgan is recruiting to an Account Administrator post in the Community Care Finance Team, a key function within Social Services. The Directorate has a wide range of statutory duties and responsibilities around protecting and supporting vulnerable children and adults.

**About the role**
Pay Details: Grade 4 SCP 5-7 (£21,575 - £22,369)

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours, Monday to Friday

Main Place of Work: Dock Offices

Temporary Reason: N/A

***Description**:To provide a financial administration function including the set-up, billing and maintenance of corporate appointee accounts, liaising with internal and external providers of social care and the Department of Work and Pensions. Giving appropriate information regarding charges, processing of payments and billing for social care services, preparing contracts for placements and third-party payments.

**About you**
You will need:

- Experience of working in a team setting
- Effective use of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to communicate effectively including the ability to assimilate and relay information.
- Ability to undertake work in accordance with set standards and deadlines.
- 4 GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Customer care skills.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding the team roles and responsibilities, and the role of the post within these.
- Willingness to undertake debt recovery and to deal with sensitive situations including organising funerals.
- Ability to respond to the changing needs of the post.
